Review on Renewed HyperX Cloud Alpha Gaming Headset with Dual Chamber Drivers and Detachable Microphone for PC, PS4, PS4 PRO, Xbox One, and Xbox One S. by Akio Yamato ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's not quite what I expected, overall it's ok.

Used them for 9 months. Sedentary work, I spend at least 10 hours a day in headphones, stably. And during this time they have not deteriorated, well, just nothing. But actually why I decided to write a review - well, I just got the volume control. Wildly weak, because of which he constantly touches his hand or clothes. As a result, you can either go deaf, or look for a minute for the reason for the lack of sound, and then realize that it was the regulator that got out to the minimum. In general, it was possible to pay 2-3k extra and buy a HyperX Cloud Revolver with built-in sound and a convenient volume control (but a fig microphone, but that's another story). At the time of purchase, I immediately began to suffer with such a problem: system sounds are heard to the interlocutor. I tried many methods from the Internet, but the problem was not solved. The microphone itself is quiet. If you add, then not only do system sounds become audible, but also the voice is given a "robotic shade", because. some of the sounds are transmitted very strangely. Those who heard their voice on the recording will understand. There is still such a problem, sometimes the sound from one ear may disappear if the wire is touched. But it was always solved by a simple reconnection. I hope the problem doesn't grow over time. There are no complaints about the quality of the headphones and the box, nothing is torn, scratched, you can say that now I have the headphones in their original form after 9 months of use. Price. And yet, it's an overkill. Sometimes people with "micro for 100" sound much clearer and louder than I do with my headphones with a bunch of small, but nonetheless significant problems.

Pros
  • 1. Filter on the microphone; 2. Comfortable microphone flex; 3. Sufficiently tight fit to the ears; 4. No matter how much you sit in them, your ears do not hurt; 5. After 9 months of use, they look like new, made very high quality (excluding the volume control); 6. A dense box in which I now store small things. Such a dignity.
Cons
  • 1. Volume control, which you constantly touch, willy-nilly; 2. Quiet microphone, which will be with a robotic microphone if you adjust the gain; 3. My friends can hear the system sounds of my pek while I speak into the microphone; 4. The weight of the headphones is quite significant; 5. Price.
