broke on first use on life jackets

got my dog swimming in the lake, the force of his long rope being pulled in the water broke the stitching on the D ring and it came loose. This loose stitching also allowed partial detachment of the handle. I expected peace of mind by letting my dog swim and explore, and instead had to worry about him being unsafe with his life jacket on.
