Bought based on research and reviews. Test fits Motorcraft FL-820s filter I had on the shelf, nice setup. I know someone who changed the oil on a 2004 F-150 4.6 who knows the absurd location of the oil filter so I decided to purchase this item. I use a lot of force to install my own filters and always have to deal with a clumsy two-handled oil filter wrench that requires perfect placement or if squeezed too hard it will punch a hole in the filter. According to so many reviews, this was the filter removal tool that ended my misery! no matter the angle, push, try to turn slowly, no matter, just turn. The color bothered me. I think I'll sand the inside, apply a coat of similar gray paint and sand, let dry and hit again with a light coat to keep the sand in place, see if that helps the grip. Otherwise it's just a mural in a shop so worth a try.
