I have a medium sized machine. It works well but I don't think it's worth $40 to be honest. I have it mostly for wings I used it on a 26" Weber kettle to make wings (using cornstarch and flour). My wings didn't come out as crispy as some of the others. I cooked the wings for 45 minutes on a full load of charcoal (I used Kingsford Professional Premium Extra Hot Charcoals. I figured they weren't hot enough due to the larger internal size of my Weber. I think it will work great on a basic 22" charcoal grill. Due to the large heating surface however, the 26" grill wasn't hot enough to get the job done properly. Also, keep in mind that heat can damage the grill. Grilling surface. Mine caught one Day later to rust where there was direct heat contact in the center of the grill. If you can, use a trellis that has a drop in the center. (26 inch doesn't have this grill accessory. Couldn't find it by searching)
