I would definitely recommend the purchase, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
Compared to the studded Michelin r13,175/70, the cordiant r14,175/65 is, at times, the superior tire. But this only applies to city driving; I have no idea how it performs on the interstate. Since rubber is softer than studded, its minus might range anywhere from ten to plus five. In terms of price and features, it is unparalleled in the city. Personally, I think there's no reason to use the spike in a metropolitan area.
