As others have noted, this device appears to be identical to the original except that its flow appears to be unlimited. The original part seemed to control the flow of water automatically. This unit requires a water flow restriction with a shutoff valve on the humidifier water supply, which luckily I was able to do for myself. Otherwise, this device would spit out too much water, causing an overflow and eliciting the most outrageous scream imaginable! So if you're willing to play around with water flow, this device can work and save you some money. Otherwise use the original.
