I bought this to replace the cable that originally came with my Nubi 1450. Back then, GPS devices had to be hacked, so I always removed them whenever I parked in a public place. The problem was that the mini USB connector wore out and became loose over time so I had to replace it. It works just like the original. The only problem is that the "lifetime" traffic subscription is for the life of the cable, not for Nuvi or you! If I had called and harassed Garmin customer service I might have gotten a better price, but I had more important things to do. Suggestion: find a way
