This is one of Revain's most expensive USB-only switches, but it gives you real buttons for each computer, which is a huge plus if you have more than two, since you if you don't do this, you have to press and hold the button to switch between the individual ports. The problem is that it is passive and therefore does not support connecting the device to computers that are switched off. Instead, every time you switch, it's like disconnecting and reconnecting. You end up waiting a few seconds for the computer to recognize the mouse and keyboard, wake up again and beep angrily. Never connect flash drives or other forms of data storage unless you like the idea of data being corrupted during a write or a bad mount. Contrary to some pictures and descriptions, these are just standard Type A USB connectors (but blue, so USB 3.0), not those weird little thin "Micro B" connectors. Advantages: - Separate button for each computer - Good build quality - Plenty of cables included. Disturbing flashing light, no constant second color for the selected channel. In general it will work for now, but I intend to explore the possibility of getting full KVM, some have technology to maintain constant connection for instant switching. The downside is they cost double or more, but if you need to switch between computers frequently, it makes more sense.
