Review on 🧼 Jet-Dry Rinse Aid for Dishwashers - 23 fl oz Bottle with Varying Packaging Options by Trey Harvey

Ordered on 26/12/20 and received on 30/12/20 in perfect condition. We've been using Finish Jet-Dry for 1 1/2 years since we got a new dishwasher. It is an effective desiccant that helps dry dishes better and is said to be safe and have low toxicity to aquatic life. Our previous 23-year-old dishwasher had a drying element (a motor that provided air drying) so the dishes dried quickly and therefore had fewer stains on the glasses. You can start loading and remove the dry dishes immediately after loading. Most modern machines don't have this dryer element (probably because they are more energy efficient, but also because they are cheaper to manufacture and because they are lighter they are cheaper to ship). Without a drying element, you have to start loading and then leave the dishes for a few hours to make sure most of them are dry. With modern dishwashers, your dishes will dry more efficiently (and therefore stain-free) if you add a desiccant. It reduces the surface tension of water, making the water thinner and beading off dishes more easily, reducing the appearance of stains on glassware. We don't use an agent for every download, only occasionally or about every 2 weeks. We run the charge at night and dump it the next morning with a nearby kitchen towel to dry if needed. Sometimes some pieces of cutlery stay wet despite the small slots that prevent them from nesting, and sometimes the tops of the cups are wet, as are the various curved parts of the dishwasher. Our 23 year old dishwasher still worked great, as did our dishwasher and dryer when we sadly had to give them up to put our old house up for sale. The front of the old dishwasher (originally almond shaped) turned yellow and looked very dated, so we replaced it with a new black model to match the nearby kitchen appliances. It was painful to give up our workhorse and after a year and a half of using our new dishwasher I'm still amazed at how much better our 23 year old model performed!
