Review on Auto Extra Mevotech MK5335 Joint by Noah Lewis

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Decent ball joints at a reasonable price. Buy yourself a clasp.

I have these for my 99 GMC Jimmy 4wd. They fit perfectly and the price was great. Three stars. These are medium economy ball joints with good anthers. The urethane case is high quality and well sealed. Three stars also because of the supplied screws. I think a larger size would still fit and I would prefer the screws to be as close to the holes as possible. The screws didn't come with washers either, so I guess I'll just grab a few screws of my choice to put them in. Otherwise they work great and are a good deal for half what AC Delco Pro ball joints cost. UPDATE: So we won't be using these ball joints anymore. After all the bolts were tightened sequentially to the grade, diameter and pitch bolt specs with blue threadlocker, all the bolts on one of the lower ball joints were loose, one was even missing, I think it had sheared off, I thought I had that feeling That one gave way a bit on the final torque sequence. The castle nuts that are included are cheap, not as heavy as the ones on my stock ball joints. Generally not the part I would bet my life on. In addition, the threads of the fasteners included in the kit are subject to shear forces. A screw with a short smooth shank section under the screw head would be more suitable.
