Review on Leg Shield Reflective Ankle Bands: Large Surface Area, Bright Neoprene Straps for Biking, Running, Walking - Protects Pants from Chain! by John Springer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Make them more visible to car headlights because they show your feet in motion - they're easier to spot and therefore safer!

I think these straps, more than any of my other reflective gear, were the best purchase ever. I'm a runner, cyclist and motorcyclist, so making myself visible to cars is my number one priority. I have reflective strips in different colors, all fluorescent colors for vests, jackets and tops and a huge collection of lights. What I love about these ankle straps is that they emphasize bio-motion, which makes people notice moving things much quicker, such as B. a person walking with lights on their ankles. Static or even blinking light is visible in low light. Cars, but Bio-Motion even outperforms - and you'll be most visible in it while running or cycling. I actually take a pair with me when I travel around London; I've seen too many car and pedestrian collisions and I know these lanes can buy me a second or more reaction time from impatient drivers. They are also useful for motorcycles. A small tail light on most motorcycles is not so safe to look at. If you wear them over your boots (despite being very snug, I wish they were bigger and different colors), motorists will see your red taillight and those two reflective patches. A small disadvantage is that they are difficult to keep clean. After almost a year of running/cycling through the mud, there were big spots where no amount of detergent and OxiClean could get them clean and shiny again. For $11 I'll just buy another pair.
