Review on Smartphone Sony Xperia 1 IV 12/256 GB, Dual nano SIM, black by Mateusz Bana ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

In 2022, the only way to get this phone is through grey market imports. The factory seal is broken when vendors "globalize" the firmware and then "re-solder" the device back into the packaging. Even though the 2022 language is not officially supported, it is available in the settings and appears to be fully functional, including a rapid search for contacts using the numeric keypad. A firmware update became available once the device was online. Sales market customization options are not described in the service menu. My unit is a white XQ-CT72. Actually, it's more of a greenish gray, hardly perceptible in the light.

Pros
  • - Almost entirely Android (in case, for some reason, you don't have a Sony phone). - A capable spam call filter (not included in this model but included in the most recent dormouse without any extra setup or configuration; it also works perfectly here, but occasionally missing calls) - Finally, we included a lengthy screenshot, a feature that has been available on Samsung devices for quite some time: the villi no longer become obstructed near the speaker at the point where the glass meets the body (as anyone who has used a mark II will attest). — Anodized aluminum, which can be thought of as "painted"
Cons
  • The case has sharper edges and is less comfortable to touch than the mark II, and there will be no formal warranty beyond the seller's in 2022. When the vibration feature is active, the phone's two contact points (the camera block and the corner of the body furthest from it) cause it to rattle loudly on the tabletop. The other (nearly dangling) side of the torso hits the table, rattling. And here's some more nerdy stuff (in the first review, I docked a star because VoLTE wasn't working, but a fix was eventually found; I'm sorry if that was a dealbreaker for anyone): - The first registration in IMS services after powering on the phone was accomplished using WiFi, and VoLTE fails if VoWiFi is also activated. The following are some potential solutions: Turn off VoWiFi, prioritize VoLTE over VoWiFi in the phone's settings, then restart the device without WiFi enabled (you can enable it again after the reboot). Maybe the updated firmware will have a solution for this issue.
