Review on π Pioneer Headunit Direct Wire Harness: Toyota and Subaru Compatibility by Logan Broadnax
After a little modification it worked great on my 1999 Tacoma with JVC radio!
I installed a JVC KD-RD79BT with this harness in my Tacoma. I couldn't connect the plug to the radio directly in the JVC box as it's made for a Pioneer, but there are holes on either side of the plug that are a bit too big for this radio. I was able to file off the plastic on either side of the connector and once that was done everything was perfect! The pins are all the same and now my stereo works perfectly! That saved me a lot of time!
