We use this on the tailgate of our horse trailer. They fit perfectly, run smoothly and hold compression well. They come with a drop of grease in the hole where they attach to the fittings. It's easy to remove the old rack and pop in one of these new ones. One star off for durability. We have them last about three years, and then a small fitting at the end of the steel rod snaps off the rod where it threads into the rod. However, I will say that in our use cases they live a tough life, so you might get more miles. However, for $15 each, I have no problem with them as a replacement service item.
