We used to set up a virtual school with no dedicated workspace, so we had to assemble a desk and supplies for my daughter. We cut out a corner of the living room and overall it turned out pretty good. But as school supplies, art, and textbooks piled up throughout the year, she quickly outgrew her desk. I added this cart to give it a little more room and it works great. It has three very sturdy shelves which was important as she threw too many heavy things into the plastic organizer I gave her and managed to break one of the baskets. I don't think it will happen with this one. It also has plenty of side storage for pens, brushes and crayons, as well as a flat top in case she needs to use it. Easy assembly, I didn't even look at the instructions.
