great little radio. very well done! One condition - shortwave stations really depend on where you live. I have 3 stations. And yes, they don't drift when locked. For all bands, follow the simple instructions in the leaflet on how to use the antenna or tune the radio to the AM band. It was a revelation. The new internal ferrite rod technology for AM allowed me to receive my nighttime voice channel clearly and without drift, which my other large radios could not. I think this station puts out 500 watts, really terrible power, but I pulled it in! Even with a less expensive radio like this, it's got the new technology you're getting. VHF reception is also excellent. Tune slowly for all bands. Here's the trick. If you hear loud white noise on shortwave, back off slowly with the knob and you usually get the station. technical advice only. Enjoy!
