Review on Bridgestone Potenza S001 225/40 R19 89Y summer by Michal Adach ᠌

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

In general, I am satisfied with the rubber, now there is a choice about buying the next rubber, since this one has been erased almost into a kolobok, and the only thing that makes me doubt and want to look for something else is the price. If by the time of purchase of the kit this becomes unimportant, then I will buy it without hesitation, since I am completely satisfied with the rest of the characteristics.

Pros
  • Introductory: I got this rubber from an official dealer when buying a car, I had never ridden a runflat before, I thought it would be dark . BMW car, drive buildings. Dimension 255/35/R19. As a result, everything turned out to be much better than I imagined after reading the reviews about the runflat. The first advantage is the grip, the car rides like it is on rails, there is no hint of a roll or demolition, tenaciously bites into the coating. At least at speeds up to 240 km / h, there are no problems. The second advantage is durability, I drove 55 thousand on it, often and a lot on our vast roads, ranging from ideal federal roads to unpaved regional roads (as, for example, in Karelia). Withstood terrible hits in the pits, driving on primers, off-road. Very strong board, no hernias. For example, they walked in a column on a concrete road, everyone in turn flew into the same hole, one had a penetration - replacing a tire, the other had a hernia - I went further, everything is tip-top, no hints.
Cons
  • In fact, I did not notice any particular shortcomings. In terms of noise, quite acceptable tires can be more noisy and less noisy, more dependent on the tread pattern. In terms of wear, I don’t know if two seasons are normal for rubber or not, but it was used very aggressively, they didn’t regret it, it lived at high speeds almost all its life. Worn out in two full seasons, in the central part of 2022. Hydroplaning, yes, catches, the smaller the tread residue, the more hydroplaning catches, but at the same time everything is quite predictable, without demolitions, breakdowns, and so on, it does not bother. It catches a rut, this is especially noticeable when tires of different widths are on the front and rear axles. I didn’t understand this due to the fact that the car is rear-wheel drive and the tires are of different widths, or is this a feature of the rubber. But also not critical, recklessly, for BMW. Well, probably the most obvious is the weight, yes, it is heavy! Really heavy, but that's the price you pay for durability and driving without a spare tire. In fact, the weight that you have on wheels is less than weighs a whole spare tire in the trunk. The only thing that repels her is the price) 60-70 thousand are poured out for the set.
