Review on πŸ§‚ Zassenhaus Speyer 5.1-Inch Dark Stained Beech Pepper Mill: Superior Quality and Style for Perfectly Ground Pepper by Denise Rivera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The handle is a mistake

Advantages: - Great look, very aesthetically pleasing - Very durable. Nothing has broken in the year I've owned it. Wide range of grinds. Good quality wood and grinder. Easy to fill and change the degree of grinding. Decent reservoir for pepper. Yes, it's a smaller grinder, but for its size it has ample interior space. Disadvantages: - grinding method (hand movement). I bought this as an alternative to a regular pepper mill, thinking it would be softer on the wrist. Rather than repetitive twisting motions of the wrist (typical pepper mill), this pepper mill allows your wrist to remain still and the movement to come from the arm/elbow. However, actually turning the handle turned out to be more difficult than expected - the left hand is on the grinder, the right hand is holding the ball of the pen. This difficulty does not depend on the fineness of grinding chosen. If I hold the handle closer to the grinder and spin it like a traditional grinder, I have no problem, but that's exactly the movement I wanted to avoid when I bought it. Conclusion: In general, it has many advantages. The only downside of the product is the handle which was difficult for me to use. For this reason I would not recommend it and would not buy it again. I give it 3 stars because everything is excellent except the grip and I can still use it.
