Review on Beduan Pre Filter Sediment Filter Reusable by Mark Cole

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's hard to win. Well made, cheap, easy to assemble!

Great device! I don't have a well. We have city water, but I still wanted a pre-filter as I also rerouted some pipes (remember that? lol). I have very little space to work, so I used flexible boiler hoses instead of traditional pipe connections. I have arranged the two connection options you have in order (left image). I used the one shown on the left to work with 3/4" hot water hoses. I also used three turns of 3/4" Teflon tape for their connection, not the water heater hose. Opened the water supply of the house. Side valve, water poured in, opened all the cold and hot water faucets in the house including the outdoor bibs to clear out all the dirt (remember I also installed new pipe so there was some debris in the lines). Then I checked the filter and saw "float", grabbed a bucket and opened the flush valve underneath to remove whatever was in there. Closed and stopped working. No leaks! Once I'm done with the frame, I pop it into the bracket that came with the kit.

Pros
  • Washable and reusable, borehole sediment Hot water Sand water The 50 micron pre-filter significantly relieves the downstream finer filters and creates a multi-layer gradient filtration system for better filtration results and longer filter life.
Cons
  • Quick start guide
