What can I say? The moment I flushed the toilet after installing the Korky 528MP inflation valve, I let out a small, almost imperceptible giggle. I've been replacing toilet faucets for a number of years. Not a big project, just a routine job for homeowners. I have ALWAYS used Fluidmaster inflation valves. Korky dampers, Fluidmaster inflation valves. I said so to myself. After the Fluidmaster inflation valve failed after six months, I decided to try the Korky. Other parts of them have always worked well and been of high quality so what to lose I thought. Absolutely nothing turns out. Compared to the Fluidmaster, the Korky valve is easier to install, easier to set up, and performs better. First installation. Unlike the float, which is placed on the outside, like the Fluidmaster, the Korki float is on the inside and takes up much less space. This greatly simplifies the installation of the valve in the toilet, which can sometimes be difficult due to the position of the overflow pipe and the flush lever. More customization. The Fluidmaster requires adjustment of both the float and toilet fill to function properly. This is achieved by adapting two very manoeuvrable devices. The float has a plastic screw that always looks like it will break if I move too fast. And the cup fill adjustment is a cheap and imprecise wheel attached to the fill tube that seems to have a mind of its own. Korky, on the other hand, does not require any float adjustment. Simply align the silver body with the overflow tube and tighten. And the filling of the toilet bowl is controlled by a simple and precise quarter-turn valve attached to the filling valve itself. Much more accurate. Finally performance. The moment I washed up Corky I was amazed. The valve gave a short flow of water and then went into a very quiet fill. No loud hiss like Fluidmaster. While I didn't time the two valves, I also find that the Korky fills the tank faster too. But sometimes that's life: simple pleasures. And that's what Korky offers. UPDATE 8/26/20: A year later, the purge valve is working the same as the day it was installed. No complaints about reliability or performance.
