First time buying this brand. At first I was a little disappointed because when they first they arrived they would not slide on the ear pieces of my black frame "Blues Brothers" Ray-Ban Wayfarer frames of my eyeglasses. So I looked them over and couldn't find any defects in workmanship the stitching that I could see was actually very nicely done with the correct thread and correct upper/lower machine tension. I like this in theory, but the ends don't fit the earpieces of my sunglasses. The earpieces on my frames don't look big (they Eddie Bauer sunglasses), but they're a bit rubbery with a non-slip texture to keep them from sliding off your ears. This makes them impossible to insert into the ends of the glasses strap. No amount of effort will make them slide on. In contrast, I just tried them on my daughter's sunglasses which have a smooth earpiece of about the same size and they slid right on…

I have tried some other types of retainers to only be disappointed a few weeks later by not staying attached to the glasses. These have a much better design and I have been traveling using them with no problems.

Been using these for years. Perfect for someone who use to lose their glasses all the time! I love how comfortable and durable they are. Also comes in many great colors.

Very secure on my glasses and it’s easy to tighten and loosen, but a few cons. 1- my hair always gets caught in it when I tighten, even though my hair is in a pony tail. 2- I purchased a black one and it got super discolored in less than a year. Looks brown now. 3- it is very hard to get on Ray Ban glasses. I did it with a lot of fiddling but it’s a little too tight for glasses with wider ear things (what are the sides of glasses called anyway?).

My eyes are light sensitive, so I have to wear sunglasses a lot. I use a lanyard so that I can take off my sunglasses and let them hang around my neck when I need to remove them for a short time. The lanyard gets a lot of use.My current lanyard is getting worn out, so I came here to find my previous order and buy the same one again. These things are great. I lose them on the regular, but that's the only down side and that's on me, usually when I wash them. They've kept my glasses on my head whitewater kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, running and mountain biking. I'd take them surfing too, but I suck to badly at surfing still and the ocean is a mighty force. They're super dorky looking I guess, at least that's what my significant other tells me, but she can be super shallow at times. Customer for life right here.

The ends do not slide off the temples and the adjustable slide is tight and stays in place. Works exactly as intended. Highly recommended.

I've been using these types of chums forever. They last a long time as well. I wash mine by hand and air dry. Had to buy another one since my other one finally wore out. I use these on my sunglasses

I ordered the Marine Tie Dye because of how vibrant the colors appeared to be, when I received the item it just looks like plain blue with a very faint color shift, I actually had to shine a flash light on it to see that it was in fact not all the same color. I would have ordered a different color if I had known it wasn't going to resemble the picture.

I live in Phoenix- even doing my walk in the morning (before/at sunrise) and despite it being dry- SWEAT. Overall, I am happy with the retainer (Chums Original Cotton Eyewear Retainer - Adjustable Unisex Sunglasses Keeper (Standard-End)). My only con is it would be a better fit if they were just a little longer. I have adjusted all the way and still a little snug when hanging around my neck. They are quite comfortable when wearing, no issue there. Would buy again.

I have a pair of Maui Jim wraparound glasses and the design is such that where the end that attaches to the glasses is too small an opening, in addition to the material my sunglasses are made doesn't lend itself to the Chums sliding on and off easily. I have another set of glasses that have smaller "ear hooks" that are smooth and the Chums slid right on.

This will be a tough review, hence the 3 stars. They arrived quickly and holds the glasses frame tightly. Both positives.I didn't expect them to be so thick. Hard to tell from a picture.
