Head quality is good; no complaints there. The problem is that although the handle is slightly oval, it doesn't fit the head properly. This makes it difficult to hit directly with a hammer. It's subtle, hard to tell just by looking at it. When I first started using it, it tended to curl up slightly in my hand on impact. I kept correcting and then I noticed that it always rotates about 15 degrees in the same direction. I ran a few blind tests, held the hammer with my eyes closed, found a comfortable fit in my hand, and in every case the head deflected about 15 degrees or so. I'm disappointed. I would return it if I hadn't already used it enough to screw up the head, especially with repeated punches that ended on the edge of the head rather than the face.
