, I really thought that it was much higher quality because of the price. The wood is perfectly fine and usable. These are the pipes we are dissatisfied with. Paint on pipes is less durable. Even before we finished assembling it, we noticed that it was starting to peel off. Luckily my husband is a retired military so we have a daunting amount of paint and spray paint. We were able to repaint the pipe ourselves. The assembly turned out to be more difficult than expected. My husband didn't understand why some pipes were chosen the way they were. This is a heavy rack. could be an issue as the width doesn't match the standard cleat placement. So you have to be very careful about how much you carry. The one my husband is about to make will be specifically tuned for spike placement so we don't have these issues. In general. I wouldn't pay for it because it's just too misleading.
