After a long search for what to buy for my first yo-yo, I settled on this one because it is a responsive yo-yo with good reviews that turns into an unresponsive yo-yo can be converted. However, when the yo-yo arrived, I noticed that the string caught between the bearing and the adjacent half. This meant the yo-yo would never sleep, which is obviously a problem. When I unscrewed the yo-yo, I found that a responsive bearing was placed on a non-responsive axle, creating a gap for the line to get stuck in. I figured this confusion must have been a bug as I've seen a lot of V3 reviews and nobody else had this problem. Unfortunately, when I tried to remove the unresponsive axle to replace it with a responsive one, I found that the unresponsive axle was screwed in so tightly that after several hours of trying to unscrew it in various ways, I couldn't could find out. I've now given up on preventing the axis from stalling. So now I'm stuck with an unresponsive yo-yo that (after some practice) works great and a sensitive yo-yo that doesn't work properly. I didn't pay for that. The main reason I bought this yo-yo is that it can be both sensitive and non-responsive with a simple switch with an axle and bearing provided. I'm very frustrated because I wanted to start learning tricks with a responsive yo-yo and then move on to non-responsive ones. Unfortunately I can't now. Nevertheless, I would recommend this yo-yo. It's a good price and comes with five strings and the necessary parts/tools to easily convert this yo-yo from reactive to non-reactive. Plus, the yo-yo looks and feels great. With my lack of experience, I can't get technical. Others have checked and can give you much more detail than I can. And most likely the axle on yours won't get stuck like mine, so both modes should work fine for you.
