Review on Aprilaire 35 Replacement Humidifier Models Appliances by Kevin Duhon

I bought two packs of Aprilaire 35 water plates and installed one in September - didn't keep a log after installation, I noticed a leak which I couldn't explain. Taking a closer look at the Aprilaire, I removed the lid to observe the water flow and noticed a small hole in the panel. I replaced the plate with a second water plate and the leak was fixed ------ until today (5/12/17) when another leak appeared. I removed the lid again and saw water leaking from the plate on top (the black water distribution bowl) and running down the plate (NOT on top of the bowl). I went to my TruValue hardware store and bought a new panel off the shelf. When I compared the old panel to the new one, I found a problem: the panels I got from Revain were about 1/8 inch thinner (not top to bottom or side to side) than the store OEM. Although the boxes I received from Revain were the same as the local stores, the product was problematic. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
