They behave more like expensive watercolors than other sets like Sakura Koi and behave differently when you just want to play more with your art style. The colors are very good and I love the effects they create. Interesting transparency mixed with opacity. My local art store would have replacement parts for them if I liked them and tried certain colors. The holdall isn't very portable as the pots don't stay in place. Others have used a nail to install them in the box, but that can make changing pans difficult later. Even if they are not turned upside down, the shells can fall out of the shell. Other than that I'm very happy with these colors, they make an interesting change from the Sakura Koi colors I've been using for years.
