I switched from using Crayola watercolors to this one and omg they are wonderful. I like the colors and the color feels good/feels good on the paper. Smaller pots can be replaced and that's fine, but I've dropped my pallet a couple of times and almost lost a couple of pots when they flew out. It has DEFINITELY improved my painting. I don't use the brush that comes with it often, but it seems reliable and travel-friendly.

They behave more like expensive watercolors than other sets like Sakura Koi and behave differently when you just want to play more with your art style. The colors are very good and I love the effects they create. Interesting transparency mixed with opacity. My local art store would have replacement parts for them if I liked them and tried certain colors. The holdall isn't very portable as the pots don't stay in place. The colors are very clean, very bright, very transparent, easy to mix. I uploaded a picture of the cloth I used to clean my water brush when showing them off to show how clean they all blend! Overall I was very impressed with these colors and the box they came in. It was a custom made plastic box unlike any other kit I've owned, with a quality travel brush and a removable palette tray. The colors show up very well on darker tones or on black paper, although they can be mixed with paint of any color to create a shimmery version of that colour. I love these colors! I'm a veteran artist but a relatively new watercolorist. I bought them as a "guilt free" kit to learn new techniques, travel and sketch instead of using my expensive paints.
