Buying genuine microSD cards has become an absurd problem and risk due to the large number of fake microSD cards flooding the market. I have a small box full of useless pseudo microSD cards that I bought off eBay. Even those advertised as big brands and found in big branded packaging can be worthless imitations. Therefore, the customer must perform FLASH tests on each microSD card before accepting a purchase and operating the microSD card. Note that you must run the flash test multiple times, as one of the failure modes of fake cards is to complete the test on the first pass, usually with correctable errors, but then massively fail subsequent tests.
