The on/off switch was designed by Gorilla. If you put your thumb on the slide lever and press, good luck. The one I have cannot be depressed when you apply downward pressure (barrel pressure). You need to put your thumb on the bottom of the switch and push up. It works with one hand until you do the obvious. (would give five stars if it worked the way slide switches normally work).
