We have a large (44") fireplace and needed a realistic insert to fill the space. After placing the electrical box in the back (it came out of the existing chimney) and rotating the existing grate; The Block was just slightly elevated on the grid and placed far enough back to add the desired depth.The height of the background and the excellent reflection make the fire very effective and realistic.I liked it more than the options where the insert is in the front , like a TV screen. The remote control works well but can only be turned on and off. You either turn the heat off or set it to low or high manually on the unit. Another plus was the very secure packaging for shipping. Cons: The heater doesn't have much power and is best appreciated when sitting or standing next to the hole.
