Review on 🎧 Compact and Versatile: Introducing the Creative Labs NOMAD MuVo 64 MB MP3 Player by Michael Jameson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I gave it two stars because I got it for free

I got this MP3 player as a gift with my Dell computer. If I really paid money for it, let alone the actual retail price, I would return this zero star artist in a heartbeat. Its only plus point is the simplicity of the design: part of the device is detached, plugged into any USB port, and then recognized as a portable drive. From there, just move files to/from the player as you would from any other drive. No additional software installation, setup, etc. - true plug and play. Unfortunately, there are many more disadvantages. The most frustrating aspect is the sound, from ill-fitting headphones that reproduce the most subtle sounds to a playback device that tunes out the first millisecond of each track. The latter fact really makes this device totally unacceptable. Additionally, the lack of any sort of LCD, coupled with small and hard-to-press buttons, also makes operation a constant challenge. Capacity is so-so - I had to cut tracks from many albums I wanted to download. Finally, the boxed device doesn't come with a wristband - it's available as a separate accessory, which seems overpriced. mow the lawn or do other dirty chores where you don't want to take your "real" MP3 with you.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Big and chunky
