Review on Wiha 61601 MaxiFlex: Reinforced Fiberglass-based Product by Eric Speers

Wiha makes great tools. I knew this and took the risk of buying a folding ruler, thinking that for the price it might not be too much of a disappointment. Almost 2 years later I still carry the same ruler in my pocket EVERY DAY and it's holding up great. I'm a bricklayer by trade and standard folding rules don't suit what I'm doing with them. Corrosive grout and harsh environments haven't cut it and won't remove the stains, constant water soaking hasn't damaged it or corroded the hinges, it's still as crisp as it was when I got it. The smaller size is perfect for carrying in your pocket through boilers and tight spaces, unlike traditional rulers. I need a double scale but even if you are not a metric mason this is a good buy as the inch side is at the back so the start of the scale is protected. This is a great product, I highly recommend it for personal use or as a gift. I will never buy a Lufkin again. I decided a year ago that this one should be replaced but it just won't die, I'm very impressed.
