I wear them every morning in wintry conditions for a delivery service that does about 8,000 steps a day. I've run on mixed snow, packed snow, ice, mud and pavement and it's been about 40 days now. They have roughly the same traction characteristics as the Yak Trucks, but are more robustly constructed. They show no signs of rust, wear or other damage. They hold up securely on my work shoes. They're a little trickier to put on and I'm just going to leave them in these boots for the rest of the winter. Note that like the Yak Trax, these are not ice drifts and you can still stop on clear, slick ice. But it's still a good compromise because you don't have the disadvantages of ice boots. I wear them indoors to work and they don't damage the floor or carpet. They are definitely worth the slightly higher price.
