The perfect product for any user!

I was intrigued by this robot and did extensive study before buying it, reading both gushing praise and critical accounts of its many flaws, "factory marriage," etc. Despite the fact that the iRobot brand hadn't officially launched until the previous day and that not everyone is familiar with the equipment, I decided to take a chance on it anyhow. Here is a rundown of my thoughts and feelings after using this home assistant: Errors (such as "31") can occur on occasion, but after looking into what causes them, I've concluded that they aren't due to a "factory defect" but rather to the peculiarities that arise in the operation of the orientation system when using Wi-Fi and the internet. I've noticed that every once in a while, the robot will pause, the blue lights on the lid will start to "run," and then it will confidently move on. From what I can tell, the positioning system is talking about servers in the United States that send out data after being processed in the cloud. Therefore, it is possible for it to "glitch," even with a "excellent" Internet connection, if access to their servers is "not too." That is to say, in my experience, I have used the app on days where I cleaned the entire apartment without making any mistakes (many days in a row), but there have also been days where errors emerged multiple times (two or three in one cleaning). And yet, there is no evidence that "buggy" software would become more widespread; in fact, there is no sign of the system at all! I cannot speak to the vacuum's performance in the dark because I did not put it through its paces in that setting when I used it. Buying the S9+ was a good decision, and I don't feel bad about the money I spent. The wife, who was initially skeptical of the Roomba S9 +, now admits that it cleans very cleanly and that such a device is simply necessary if there is a pet; she is also participating in the use of robots.

Pros
  • Due to the cat's presence, the gaps between the parquet boards are kept to a minimum with this method of cleaning (although there seem to be such zones on the map, they are not visually detected on the floor .). He is quite skilled at finding his way around, doesn't rush from room to room, and gets rid of them in an orderly fashion. Climb under the nightstands while reassuring yourself, "Don't be afraid," and then tidy the entire house after you're done making the map. Seventy square meters, or around 36 to 38 square feet, in about 1.5 hours. We have cleared 956 square meters thus far (information from the application). She's the one who makes it seem like the robot is fully self-sufficient, with no need for you to chase it around or clean up after it. The bag at the robot's base makes use of the convenient (although noisy) container emptying method (IMHO). Since operations began, no changes have been made to the bag's capacity within the base, and it continues to meet requirements. In my opinion, the application is very user-friendly, especially for 2022. The functionality is very simple. The application has several design flaws (the error viewing service, for example), but where would we be without it. The robot's on-board container is easy to access and remove thanks to its strategic placement on the robot's top (although not often required). It "scrapes" the floor at the very edge of the robot as it advances around walls (or other borders). The rollers are incredibly lengthy (they occupy most of the width of the robot), and I think that this is a really neat design feature. The rollers in the hair don't get tangled even if there are two women living there, and they don't need to be cleaned after each use. He seems to have an innate sense of direction, as though he were equipped from birth with a compass. There were times when he needed to go to the main facility, empty the container, and then return to his former spot with fully charged batteries so he could resume his task. after a few months of use: it's much improved. The occurrence of Error 31 has ended entirely. Cleaning now takes a fraction of the time it used to (by 30 percent). The current implementation is perfectly in line with my original intention.
Cons
  • Before cleaning the apartment, there are a few things you should do to ensure that you don't miss anything. These include removing any wires (shoes with laces, ropes, etc.) from the floor (tighten the laces with rollers and get up), putting away any chairs that won't be needed, and raising any curtains that will be in the way (it happened under the curtain and helplessly lost). A tolerable volume of background noise. In my opinion, this is not the best option for people who prefer to work late into the night. It sounds like a full-fledged vacuum cleaner and is extremely noisy. Quality Internet is important to him (not only speed but also the absence of "failures"). It is untidy throughout its perimeter (about 20-30 cm in radius). When first installing the base, I placed it near the wall separating the kitchen and the hall (the wall was about 1 m wide, and the base was 20 cm from the door to the kitchen), effectively blocking his access to the kitchen and making it likely that he never "see" the door leading to the kitchen. When the database was transferred to a new location, the problem quickly went away. Although though it features a novel moving obstruction detector in the front, it is important to remember that it can still knock over or drop objects due to the force with which it pushes. Without a doubt, the Galaxy S9+ has an astronomical price tag.
