Review on 4 in 1 USB C Hub Adapter with VGA/HDMI/DVI, MONODEAL USB 3.0 Type-C Video Converter for 4K UHD Multi-Display, Male to Female by Joseph Anderson

I bought this to connect an extra external monitor to my MacBook Pro via DVI. I specifically bought this adapter as it has USB, DVI, VGA and HDMI ports as I needed both a USB port for my wireless keyboard/mouse and a DVI port for my external monitor. I've been using the product for several weeks and while an external monitor connected via DVI worked fine, I regularly noticed issues that caused my keyboard input to lag or not register at all. This lag was sometimes 15-30 seconds which made typing quite difficult, especially as I never knew if it was lagging or not registering at all. I initially assumed my keyboard was to blame (although I've had no problems before). I've changed the batteries in the keyboard and mouse, moved the keyboard closer to the USB receiver, etc., but the problems persisted. I finally tried moving the USB receiver from that Monodeal adapter to an Apple branded adapter and the USB latency issues with my keyboard were completely gone and I haven't had any issues for the past few weeks. This clearly points to a problem with the USB port on the Monodeal adapter (at least when USB and DVI ports are used at the same time), hence the 3-star rating. If all you need is a DVI connection, it works great. If you're planning on using DVI and USB simultaneously for something like a keyboard where latency is a big issue, this might not be the best product.
