LOVE this device and the VoIP service

LOVE this product and what it has to offer. I have recommended it to others. See Pros and Cons for details. I love the commercial diversity it encourages, as many ISPs and TV/cable content providers have tried to put the competition out of business with packages that include a VoIP phone. They then outbid and charge an abandonment fee (in the microscopic seal of a contract) to keep you past the teaser bids. Then they hold you by the keg when your service gets in trouble because you have a contract. I choose this product and service for this reason alongside the excellent product they offer. I decided to encourage competition with this awesome option. -------- Benefits -------+ Includes nationwide calling, voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, emergency calls which I can access with Basic. although I believe in other things that I don't use. Visit the website for more information. + Economical and very cheap [The basic version is free and the premium version is only $9.99 per month] NOTE: With the basic version, you only pay taxes and fees, the service is free. Example: I pay $4.22 per month for taxes and FCC fees. A NOTICE. A detailed list of features for both Basic and Premium can be found on the Ooma website.+ Clear and consistent voice quality that I haven't experienced from a cable provider or landline. A NOTICE. Cable VoIP had problems I haven't seen in 5 months. I had Ooma as my home phone line. The landline was constantly static, and for several years I fought AT&T for the removal of the landline, which I primarily used for my ADT system. It kept getting no signal back to the ADT and then I picked up the extension and didn't ring. and I was paying almost $48 a month for that non-long-distance crap. Works with any existing phone you already own. A NOTICE. If you have a built-in autoresponder, you will not use it since Telo also acts as your autoresponder. on this page. This eliminates the need for Linx if you have multiple phones in your home that are already plugged into household phone jacks. + The website provides lists of all missed calls and all calls with their details. The site contains other information that is very useful for a variety of purposes (a departure from the purpose of this review). + Support is responsive and helpful. + The setup and beeps of the temporary Ooma number occurred about 7 minutes after registering online. I had a temporary Ooma phone number while waiting for my home phone number to be transferred. However, I could just keep the new number and not port the number.+ There are a few other features that I don't use that allow it to be used with other wireless technologies, a second phone number, etc. See their ads and more reviews for detailed feedback on the technique ----- Cons -------- ?Crystal clear nationwide calls at free and low international rates. Pay only applicable taxes and fees. The leading consumer research publication ranked home phone service #1 for overall satisfaction and value. Ooma works with your favorite smart products to make your home safer and more convenient than ever. Includes Ooma Linx remote connector. for the wireless connection of telephone devices to your Telo or access to a second line. Includes nationwide calling, voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, emergency calling, and text notifications. Compare with similar products.
