Review on ๐Ÿš— Melissa & Doug Stack & Count Wooden Parking Garage With 10 Cars: Fun and Learning in One Toy! by Michael Freemason

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Attractive, sturdy, educational and imaginative

My 18 month old loves to stack things and is pretty good at stacking rings and blocks of wood so I chose this to broaden his stacking horizons though it's been said for ages 3+. So yeah, it's a bit of a concept for his age, which can lead to some frustration on his part and dependence on my help. However this is a very smooth and durable toy which I am sure will last a long time and the colors are true to the picture. The garage concept is very cool and creative, it combines learning (numbers, counting, colors) with fine motor skills and imaginative play. I'm sure it will be a toy our little one will grow into. However, I deducted a star for this reason: some cars have unintentional splashes of paint on the sides that don't detract from the overall exterior. but it shows gaps in production quality control. Even if the "garage" is empty, the cars cannot simply be stacked from above, otherwise they will tip over and/or fall out. However, after 3-4 cars have been gently lowered, the remaining cars can usually be thrown over the top for neat stowage. Also, the picture is a bit misleading as the sky blue part of the "level" above is not fixed - it falls on top of the other cars in the stack and can be removed. That's how it should be, because it helps count this toy.

Pros
  • Wood Stacker
Cons
  • So-so
