My house has a single pipe that runs the length of the house, serving the kitchen and bathroom between the upstairs and downstairs, and the pipe doesn't have much slope so it tends to be in there build up. I didn't follow the directions as they ask to flush it down the toilet instead I put it down my drain pipe and in my garage for a working washing machine. the entire length of the house, and then descends into the basement and exits when I started to play it a little safe. So I put this on around 9:30pm when everyone was done with the water and asked everyone not to use the water upstairs for the night and as far as I can tell he did a pretty good job of plugging my main house drain clean because the water is leaking much better on the main pipe. Based on this observation, I believe this will help my septic tank as well. I've tried other solutions to keep the drain pipe clean in the past, including a 100ft water hose, which isn't the prettiest thing in the world, and it seems to have worked pretty well. Will be buying this in the future and will be repeating this process every few months as it's certainly better than pouring bad chemicals down my drain destroying the septic tank or running a water hose down the main drain line. Overall it did what I wanted it to do so five stars for that and I believe it will help my general septic tank if it does that decently in the drain line.
