I don't know how to rate this. As a thermoelectric cooler comparable to the best. Solidly made, the coverage is tight, the size is comfortable, it looks attractive. The problem is that thermoelectric coolers generally don't work very well for me, if at all. For example, I let mine warm up for about 4 hours in the kitchen where the ambient temperature was 80-85 degrees. I then placed a 12-ounce can of ice water from my fridge in the cooler and waited another four hours. Finally, a glass can be considered cool but not cold. The recorded temperature was around 55 degrees, which is normal but not entirely icy. This was with a power adapter and it doesn't get any better with a 12v connection. The temperature I received is far from the recommended temperature for safe food storage, which is around 40 degrees. In addition, the refrigerator consumes a lot of energy because, unlike the refrigerator, it has to run all the time and is a bit noisier. Also. I haven't tried the heating function because I can't imagine ever having to keep food warm for a long time. So as a thermoelectric fridge, this one is at least as good as anything I've tried. And in my opinion, thermoelectric coolers are generally a waste of money. I was hoping it would be different here, but physics is physics and the Peltier principle doesn't lend itself to portable refrigerated food storage. If you really need a thermoelectric fridge this one is as good as the others and I love the build quality here. If you can, budget a little more for a 12V compressor cooler; These days they are very affordable, work well and take less of a toll on the car battery. Sorry, but I can't recommend a thermoelectric cooler; they are simply too weak and ineffective.
