. The first pair I ordered was an L which fit my height according to the chart but they were quite small. I changed them to XL and they fit very well. On the good side these pants are good value for money, the material is of good quality, the construction is pretty decent and the buttons, velcro and zips close them well. They also perform very well in extremely cold weather (-19°F), keeping you warm and windproof even in 20km/h arctic winds. On the other hand, I bought them to walk the dog and when I was blowing snow off my house. The pair they replaced were also intended for snowboarding or winter sports, but the pant ends were fully unbuttoned. If you want them to put your boots on after you've put them on they are great as they do and the pleated tuft of material behind the leg zip makes them more airtight and waterproof/snowproof. . However, because of this feature, you cannot put them on without taking off your boots. As far as weirdness goes I can't understand why anyone would need zipped vent holes on the inside of their thighs, it's just a matter of opening something up if you don't want it opening up or something goes wrong. Yes, and that unnecessarily increases production costs. Overall I am very happy with these pants and if you don't mind putting them on before your boots or you don't mind taking your boots off to put them on then they will fit you but I would recommend going up a size of what whatever the chart says.
