Looks great, but fan noise is annoying

I bought this eGPU model hoping for quiet operation: a supposedly quiet case fan and a PSU fan that only runs when needed. However, I was disappointed to immediately notice that the case fan, which always runs while you're using the computer (I have a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro), isn't that quiet. 120mm 4pin PWM fan that fits perfectly so I thought the problem was solved right?! The replacement fan I installed is definitely quieter than the stock fan, although perhaps not as quiet as the Be Quiet Silent Wings 3 I installed. my Razer Core X eGPU. However, I then discovered that while the PSU fan does cycle and cycle on and off, it actually still runs every few minutes or so, even when my MacBook Pro is running macOS in essentially is idle. The fan is not very loud, it has an annoying sound quality. After suffering from it for a few hours, I decided it was too annoying to bear. It's also a shame because it would be nice to have extra USB ports - but I ordered this model precisely because of the promised low noise level. Saturn Pro II ma They should be quieter than other eGPUs, but I know it's possible to set up an eGPU to be really quiet until you start lifting heavy loads. This is because I had previous experience of modding the Razer Core X. I followed some recommendations on the internet to replace the PSU and case fan so it was quiet most of the time and it worked! I will cover this in detail in my separate review of this product. (This Mantiz Saturn Pro II was supposed to be an upgrade and I wanted to use the Razer Core X for a different computer/location.) I could probably change the PSU in the Saturn Pro II to get a quiet fan, but I had to work hard to figure out which device is right for this case, and I already know what works with the Razer Core X. The question is, why doesn't Mantiz or Razer (or some other manufacturer) go the extra mile to select the same fan and block the power supply to create a truly silent external GPU enclosure? Anyway, I think I'll order another Razer Core X (plus spare PSU and case fan) and run the setup again. And for anyone wondering, yes I was able to get the Saturn Pro II to work on Windows too. and boot camp. on my 2019 16" MacBook Pro.
