I have four children and all of our old IR headphones have broken in the last few years. I had no intention of replacing them but we are going on a road trip this summer and will be in the car for almost two days. I really want them to relax while watching the show. They work right out of the box - they come on a hanging card, not in a box - just pop in two batteries. I bought five colors - red, blue, purple, orange and pink. I LOVE that the colors are different so everyone knows which headphones go with them. I also like that you can connect them to your tablets/phones with an AUX cable and use them as headphones without using any power. You can't get a better set for the price.
