I am very pleased with this flagpole, but did reinforce it and replaced the halyard after only 3 months. After seeing a review and pictures of bent poles, I decided to first reinforce the bottom 3 sections of the pole with schedule 40 1-1/2" PVC water pile (see picture---it is a perfect fit). This should prevent bending the pole in high winds especially at the ground section. The pipe needs to be cut to fit each section as it is too large for the section joints. I also replaced the halyard/rope as it rotted and broke twice with sun and wind exposure here in southern Kentucky (see picture). I replaced it with an Anley rope 16-strand nylon. Overall I am very pleased with the pole, and recommend it. I was leery of using a lightweight nylon flag, but it does not stress the pole in the wind, and looks good.
