I first bought it about a year ago. And I have been trying to burn CDs on my system which is a Dell PIII 700MHz with 512MB RAM and Win2000 OS. For some reason it crashed when I tried to create a VCD after rendering the movie and creating the MPEG file. I thought there might be something wrong with my system. So I upgraded to a Dell P4 2.4GHz with 768MB RAM and Windows XP Home. Now when I try to install the hardware, I get a Windows blue screen. The error is some kind of security and authorization issue. I go to the Dazzle website and try to download patches. This process is asking me to register and I'm trying to register correctly. Guess what! The website gives an error "invalid number" so I can't register. So after choosing the only option, I overwrite everything on XP and install the hardware. Now record the movie again from my VCR. This time I have no sound and the film is made up of snapshots, not scenes. I'm still trying to convert this tape to VCD. Apart from that, the movie takes about 8 hours to shoot. To top it off, I forgot to mention that I've been trying to convert a cassette to VCD with this unit for the past year. :-).
