Love it.: Home Office Furniture

This cube organizer rack is used for toys, books (heavy school books), etc. in our basement. I had no idea it was that big and was SHOCKED when everything was put together. If you assemble at least 3 cubes on one side, as shown in the product photo, this corresponds to the height of a standard light switch (it is actually slightly higher than ours). When I opened the box, I grabbed the instructions and looked at the bill of materials, then sorted the parts into separate piles. ALL the parts were there, so I got to work. I had "helpers" put it together and it took me about 45 minutes. If you assemble it without babies running away with parts or not wanting to breastfeed, it may take less time. It seemed a little awkward to put together at first, but once I assembled the first row of cubes, everything became a breeze. Again, I had kids grab the pieces and tried to "HELP", so it might be easier if I don't ask them NOT to lose the pieces. lol After assembly I walked around the house looking for the best spot to place it as I had 3 places to try it. I figured a basement would be the best option because it's against a wall (in one of the bedrooms I was thinking of that space to fit in would be at the foot of the bunk bed and I just knew that my boys climb on it off the bed, which would NOT end well for the shelves or the baby/kids). It's lightweight but can injure a small child if they pull it over them with a bundle of books. We're going to use a nylon strap to attach it to the wall. I was surprised at how much weight he could carry with books; The books we publish on it are HEAVY school books that are at least 2 inches thick and several hundred pages long. We also put games, puzzles, trucks, etc. My boys often take everything off to play with. That's because every toy, game, etc. in the vault MUST be played together somehow, even if they're random toys. My boys will have toy food, toy soldiers, puzzle pieces, etc. lying around. I have no idea how they all fit together, but in their brain they fit together. Space where we use it, but I like that I can reconfigure it later if needed. The height of the tallest section of the cube: about 49 inches. Height of the center part of the cube: approx. 37 inches. tall Height of shortest section of cube: approx. 25" tall Each cube: 11 3/4" tall x 15 1/4" wide 3 cube wide Organization width: (slightly less) 47 1/2" tall. Depth of organizer including legs/supports: Approximately 10 3/4" (it's actually a little deeper, but not quite 11"). ). The tissue drawers in the photo are slightly smaller than the organizer and are approximately 11 1/4 inches wide x approximately 10 1/2 inches deep and approximately 9 7/8 inches high. The 13" Ikea fabric baskets are TOO big, but you could fit slightly larger baskets than the measurements above. The organizer has metal rods and plastic connectors, it is strong and durable. I like when everything is organized and my kids like to SEE and EASILY FIND their toys to make a huge mess ;). We are very happy with this organizer and would buy it again.
