Review on πŸ”Œ Dorman 577-095 Fuel Filler Neck: Ideal Replacement for Chevrolet/GMC Models by Wayne Laguna

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fuel System MH Required

If you live in a rust belt, the old gas filler neck will crumble in a plastic tube. After the check engine light came on and the exhaust leak code came on, I saw that the fuel intake was missing parts. It was an easy fix. Loosen the hose clamp, remove the screws in the neck and tilt the assembly down toward the back of the truck and down to slide and remove. It took a few minutes to get the remaining rusty bits out of the plastic tube, but scraping them off and cleaning them with a paper towel revealed them. Wd40 has also helped some. Keep the hose pointing down to prevent rust from entering the tank. The new one was put in and screwed on.
