This light is exactly what I wanted above my dining table. The smooth curve is clean and elegant, bringing plenty of light into the room without casting harsh shadows. The entire fixture draws 60 watts at full power, much less than the 6-light chandelier it replaced. And the height adjustment is very easy. The four wires connecting the light bar to the base can be manually inserted or pulled out of the base to adjust the suspension angle, which is very convenient when the light is already installed on the ceiling. I positioned mine so that it hung just 9 inches from the ceiling without getting in the way at all. There are buttons on the remote for warmer and cooler lights, and I like to dim the lights from the couch.
