Review on 📡 Escort Radar Detectors Mirror Mount Bracket - Compatible with Escort 9500ix, 8500x50, Solo S3, Redline (3001001) by Michael Hudson

Installed today in a Cayenne for an Excort 9800 radar unit. I also connected the radar power cable to the mirror mount so it only sticks out 6 inches to connect to the detector; The cable to the cigarette lighter is not hanging. After reviewing a number of competing products, I chose this product for the following reasons. Reasons: - the block didn't seem bulky, - designed for a car model's rearview mirror, not a universal mount, - there was mechanical flexibility to aim the detector in the desired position, - price compared to competitor device, here are my observations: PROS - High-quality and well-made device. All screws are properly aligned and everything is properly tightened. The product has enough volume and rigidity to hold the detector in place. - Very easy to install. No other tools are required other than the tool included in the package. Started and completed in 10 minutes. - Very compact appearance. Almost folds under a mirror. - Looks professionally installed when completed. Versatility - Extreme adjustment for different detector angles (if desired) MINUS - Limited instructions for people with mechanical problems. The photos are rather poor in detail. Based on my installation experience and the end result I will most likely be purchasing two more units for my other vehicles. UPDATE: I bought a second device for my BMW. Porsche and BMW blocks appear to be identical (I can't tell any difference looking at them side by side). It installs just as easily and the Escort fits perfectly.
