I bought a new one of these thinking my old one must be faulty as the auto backup didn't work. Writes that everything is saved, but it's not. It only lasts for a day like it doesn't see any new files. Looking at the WD website forums, this problem has existed with their products for years and they still haven't solved it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling SmartWare as directed, but that doesn't fix the problem. This time I couldn't solve the problem at all and I have no way to ask for help because the return or service period has expired (I bought 5 months ago). Obviously I need to find another product to use. Don't waste your money on WD products like I did.
