Ornaments have to stick in certain spots

I was hoping ornaments could stick anywhere on the tree, but there is velcro on the tree in certain places where the ornaments have to be placed. My son is just turning 2 so I'm not sure he'll be able to place them in the exact right spots. This was my second attempt at getting a felt tree where ornaments could be placed anywhere with no success. I don't really want to bother with a return again so I guess we'll see how he does!
